Ingredients
- 6 boneless pork chops
- 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Thyme
- Paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Brown in olive oil for 3–4 minutes per side; set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook sliced onions in melted butter until soft. Stir in flour and whisk until lightly browned.
- Gradually add milk and chicken broth; whisk until thickened. Mix in thyme, paprika, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until smooth.
- Grease a baking dish; layer half the potatoes at the bottom, followed by half the sauce and the pork chops. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
