  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Dried parsley, for garnish
  • Approximately 240 grams (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 30 milliliters (2 tablespoons) avocado oil or vegetable oil
  • 28 grams (2 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1/2 large white onion, sliced
  • 7 to 8 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 600 milliliters (2 1/2 cups) chicken stock
  • 120 milliliters (1/2 cup) heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken thighs with Lawry's seasoning salt, garlic powder, paprika, and Sazon seasoning.
  2. Prepare seasoned flour by combining all-purpose flour with additional seasonings.
  3. Coat chicken thighs in seasoned flour and shake off excess.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet and sear chicken thighs until golden brown on both sides; remove from pan.
  5. In the same pan, sauté onions and garlic with reserved flour to create a roux; whisk in chicken stock and heavy cream until thickened.
  6. Return seared chicken to the pan, nestling it into the gravy.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 45 minutes.
