Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season sirloin strips with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (3-4 minutes) and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced red bell pepper for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Boil salted water in a pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain.
- Add beef broth to the skillet with vegetables; bring to a simmer. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning; thicken for about 3-4 minutes.
- Return cooked steak to skillet and add drained pasta along with cheddar cheese. Stir until melted and well combined.
