Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
- Garlic butter (made by mixing softened butter with minced garlic and parsley)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread garlic butter on each slice of bread and arrange them on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque; remove from heat.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and white wine (or broth). Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes before stirring in lemon juice.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in sauce, then serve warm with garlic bread.
