- ½ teaspoon salt
- Red food coloring
- Blue food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 12-cup bundt pan.
- In a stand mixer, cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Gradually add eggs and egg whites; mix well after each addition.
- Blend in vanilla and buttermilk until smooth.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; mix on low speed until just incorporated.
- Divide batter into three bowls: one for plain batter, color one red and the other blue.
- Alternate layering in the bundt pan starting with plain batter, then red, followed by blue until all batter is used.
- Bake for 50–70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
