- 6–7 tbsp ice water
- 2 cups cubed mangoes
- 2 cups cubed peaches
- 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
- 1 to 1 and 1/2 cups shortening (for frying)
Instructions
- Prepare the pie crust by mixing flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter and shortening until crumbly. Stir in vinegar and add ice water until dough forms.
- Divide the dough into disks, wrap them in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- For the filling, combine mangoes, peaches, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- Place filling on half of each circle, fold over, and seal edges.
- Fry in heated shortening until golden brown on both sides.
