- 8 oz (220 grams) pasta (linguine, penne, etc.)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ cup (120 ml) dry white wine
- ½ tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ cup (120 ml) pasta cooking water
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour for about 1 minute.
- Add minced garlic, then pour in the white wine, reserved pasta water, and lemon juice. Cook until thickened (about 4 minutes).
- Stir in parmesan cheese; season with salt and pepper.
