Ingredients

Scale
  • 300 g (2 ½ cups) plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 5 g (1 ½ teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 90 ml (6 Tablespoons) unsweetened non-dairy milk
  • 90 ml (6 Tablespoons) warm water
  • 1 Tablespoon neutral oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, yeast, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in the milk, water, and oil to form a rough dough.
  2. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and stretchy. Let it rise in a lightly oiled bowl for about 1 hour until doubled.
  3. Punch down the dough and divide it into 10 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and flatten into an oval shape.
  4. Place each bun on baking paper squares and let them rise for another 30-40 minutes.
