Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz extra large peeled & deveined shrimp
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and blot dry with paper towels.
  2. In a gallon-sized Ziploc bag, combine shrimp, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Seal tightly and shake to mix well. Marinate in the fridge for 1 hour.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Remove shrimp from marinade (reserve marinade) and add to the skillet without overcrowding.
  4. Sear shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn opaque light pink and curl into a loose 'C' shape.
  5. Pour reserved marinade into the skillet and simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds over rice or alongside vegetables.
