Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 13 ounces kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 1 head broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Red pepper flakes to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth. Reserve two-thirds of the sauce.
  2. Marinate the shrimp in the remaining sauce in a zip-top bag for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook broccoli for about 5 minutes until tender-crisp; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and brown the sliced kielbasa sausage for about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Add marinated shrimp to the skillet (discard leftover marinade) and cook until pink and opaque (about 2 minutes per side).
  6. Pour in reserved honey garlic sauce and simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes. Toss in broccoli before serving.
  7. Serve hot over cooked white rice or your preferred base.
