  • 2 cups peeled & diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated or brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Optional: Salted caramel for drizzling

Instructions

  1. If using homemade dough, prepare it and refrigerate. Thaw store-bought dough.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar. Cook for about 10 minutes until softened. Cool for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into squares (4 inches each).
