Ingredients
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp ketchup
- 6 Tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2½ Tbsp sherry or chicken broth
- ½ tsp dried ginger
- 1½ tsp minced garlic
- 12 boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 2.5 pounds)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, sherry (or broth), ginger, and garlic until well blended. Reserve ½ cup of the marinade for basting later.
- Place chicken thighs in a gallon ziplock bag and pour the remaining marinade over them. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and grill for about 12 to 15 minutes, basting with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
