- 1.5 lbs white fish fillets (cod, mahi-mahi, or tilapia)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- Juice and zest from 2 limes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 cups shredded cabbage (green or red)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 corn or flour tortillas
Instructions
- Pat fish fillets dry and cut into 1-inch pieces.
- In a bowl, mix spices and rub onto the fish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook fish for 3–4 minutes per side until flaky.
- Prepare lime crema by whisking sour cream, lime juice, zest, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro in a bowl.
- For the slaw, combine cabbage, carrots, red onion, cilantro; dress with lime juice and olive oil.
- Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
- Assemble tacos: fill tortillas with slaw and fish; drizzle with lime crema.
