  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 4 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • Rice or noodles for serving
  • Green onion and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha, brown sugar, garlic, and chili flakes to create the firecracker sauce.
  2. Heat oil in a large frypan over high heat. Add ground beef; cook until browned while breaking it apart (about 2½ minutes).
  3. Stir in minced garlic and chili flakes; cook for another minute.
  4. Pour the firecracker sauce over the beef; stir to coat evenly and cook for 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
  5. Add water; mix well and cook for another minute to achieve desired sauciness.
