- 2 lbs potatoes (peeled & sliced)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1–1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dry parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a casserole dish.
- In a fry pan, melt butter over medium heat; sauté onions and garlic until tender.
- Stir in flour, salt, and pepper; gradually add milk while stirring until thickened.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the casserole dish, cover with half of the cream sauce, then repeat.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes; remove foil and sprinkle with parsley before baking for an additional 15 minutes.
