Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups salted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a large rimmed baking sheet (11X17 inches) with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined. Stir in peanut butter.
  3. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until no streaks remain.
  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the prepared baking sheet to form the base layer.
  5. In a separate bowl, melt sweetened condensed milk, butter, salt, chocolate chips, and vanilla until creamy.
  6. Pour fudge mixture over the cookie base and crumble remaining dough on top.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until edges are slightly golden but center remains soft. Cool completely before slicing.
