- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
- ⅔ cup dark brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

- Instant coffee granules (for dough and frosting)
Instructions
- Prepare the tangzhong by whisking together water and flour in a saucepan over medium heat until thickened. Let cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix warm milk with instant coffee; add to dry ingredients along with egg and tangzhong.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic; let rise until doubled.
- Prepare filling by mixing softened butter with brown sugar, cinnamon, and instant coffee.
- Roll out dough, spread filling, cut into strips, roll up, and place in a baking pan to rise again.
