  • 1 tbsp brewed coffee (or espresso) (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk or cream (or water) (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and espresso powder.
  3. Cut in cold butter until coarse crumbs form. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Whisk together heavy cream and vanilla; gradually mix into dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Shape dough into an 8-inch circle on a floured surface and cut into 8 wedges.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown; cool on a wire rack.
