Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup fresh basil, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a stand mixer, mix yeast, warm water, and sugar; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  3. Prepare a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Add salt, minced basil, and vegetable oil to the yeast mixture; combine well.
  5. Gradually add bread flour one cup at a time until fully incorporated into the dough.
